Williams Hits the Jackpot in Caution Free Las Vegas Thriller

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — The neon lights of Las Vegas Motor Speedway provided the perfect backdrop for a high speed masterclass this week, as Mitchell Williams dominated an incredibly fast, caution free 80 lap showdown in the desert.

While Williams ultimately stole the show, the night kicked off with a hot qualifying session. Eldon Stewart secured the pole position with a blistering lap of 29.679, edging out Williams for the top spot by a margin of just 0.036 seconds.

However, once the green flag waved, the race belonged entirely to Williams.

In a rare and physically demanding caution free race, Williams quickly took control of the field. He paced the field for a staggering 74 of the 80 laps, laying down the fastest lap of the race with a 29.626. The unrelenting green flag conditions gave drivers no time to rest, but Williams proved untouchable in clean air, building a rhythm that the rest of the field simply couldn't break.

The remaining laps at the front were split between pole sitter Eldon Stewart, who led for two laps, and Bryce Shoemaker, who managed to keep his car out front for four laps before Williams reclaimed his Lead

While the battle for the lead was heavily one sided, the drive of the night arguably belonged to John Crosby. Navigating the challenges of a long green flag run, Crosby carved his way through the pack, gaining a massive 18 positions to earn the title of the race's biggest mover.

With the dust settled in Nevada, the league now turns its attention to the Lone Star State. Next week, the drivers will tackle the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway, where the rest of the grid will be looking to break Mitchell Williams' momentum.
