The Sunday Night Showdown Series is a premier iRacing NASCAR league where competitive racing meets a drama-free, community-first environment. Owned by Bryce Shoemaker and co-owned by Oskar Jensen and Derek Garrison, we are dedicated to providing a space where drivers can race hard, have fun, and build lasting friendships on the service.
Our Story: The Gen 6 Origins Every great league starts with a single idea. For founder Bryce Shoemaker, that idea was born out of necessity. Searching for an iRacing league that utilized the Gen 6 car and actually fit his schedule proved impossible. Instead of giving up, Bryce took a risk and built his own: the Sunday Night Gen 6 Series.
Running that first season was a game-changer. It wasn't just about the racing; it was about the people. Bryce met some of the coolest guys on the iRacing service, drivers who are still great friends today and help the league grow! That tight-knit camaraderie sparked a vision to grow the series into something even bigger.
The Evolution: A New Showdown To accommodate our growing community and keep the on-track product fresh, we rebranded to the Sunday Night Showdown Series. Today, we don't just limit ourselves to a single chassis. We challenge our drivers by utilizing a variety of different iRacing NASCAR vehicles, keeping the competition fierce and exciting week after week.
The Showdown Philosophy Our league is built solely on the community. We want every single driver on the grid to have fun, push their limits, and enjoy the ride. We aren't like those other leagues where every race ends in fighting and drama. Here, respect is mandatory, the racing is clean, and the focus is exactly where it should be: on the track.
