LIGHTNING ESPORTS TRUCK SERIES

The league was originally founded in 2016 on PS4 before making the move to iRacing in 2020. From its early years through 2023, the league competed under the name Pedal To The Metal Racing League before rebranding to Lightning eSports.

Several members of the current admin team have been part of the league for many years. Pottlez and Robert Conn have been racing together since 2017, with Chris Shriver joining in 2019. Jason Henry and Mike Rideout later became part of the league joining between 2020 and 2022. Together, they help make up the current leadership group behind Lightning eSports.

Each season, Lightning eSports continues to bring something different to the track by running a variety of series, giving drivers new challenges and fresh competition throughout the year.

The league also carries deep meaning beyond the racing itself. In April 2025, the Lightning eSports community lost a longtime admin and driver who had been part of the league since 2018. His legacy continues through Hoffert Forever 84, with the No. 84 forever reserved in his honor.

The league also remembers Justin Reynolds, a driver who joined in 2023 and later became part of Buds and Burks’ team in 2025. His impact on the community will not be forgotten.

Through years of racing, growth, loss, and friendship, Lightning eSports continues to carry forward the spirit of the people who helped build it.
